I live in the favela
of Pavao with my mom and my older sister. I started training Jiu Jitsu because
of a neighbor. I didn’t like it
much at first but after awhile, I remember, one of my friends (Jhonathan
Marques) called me to train at Terere’s academy. It was there that I started competing and
getting into the sport. Now I plan to keep on going. I really like competing in
tournaments but my parents don’t have a lot of money to pay the registration, so I
rely mainly on sponsorship from the academy. My goal this winter (summer for
you) is to compete in CBJJE Worlds in Sao Paulo with my best friend Moicano.
Medaling in this tournament will help me get sponsorship to travel to IBJJF
PanKids in California in February 2017.
